i got a tortoise last year from a little shop in china and i dont speek chinese that well so i dont know what kind of tortoise it is could you please helpme identify it.
i'm kind of worried about my tortoise, he eats well but is not active at all...it's inclosure is very big, it has a lamp and a heating device, he has a thing to eat in, a thing to bath in but he spents all day in his little cave...
i recently found a worm in his poo so i went to a store and the shop keaper gave me CLEARN PROTOZOAN is it the right kind of medicine ?

AnswerHello please take him to a vet is you see things like worms. they can give you medicine that will kill your tortoise. You have to remember that they are in the business for the money. they make a profit. They are not vets they are mearly people whom are hired to sell things in a store and I would hate to see you loose your tortoise.
Some parasites like worms are able to defend themself from medications therefor it needs to be discovered what type worm, and then the meds to kill them all.
