ear absecess

hi there, (not sure if i spellt it correctly) but my RES has ear absecess i will that it to the vet at some point (after i find one!) but i was wondering a few things.. will this get bigger and worse, will he eventually die at some point if not treated quickly enought. thx, he is about 16cm2
he has being feeding well he has a basking lamp and a uv bulb, and another RES for him to be friends with.

Abscesses are bad news. They indicate an active pocket of infection and usually requires prompt medical attention. They can easily be fatal and rarely heal on their own.

They are often caused by things like infections, injuries, etc. It could be the result of a bite from a cagemate, contaminated water, etc.
