Question
i recently bought a horsefieldii and he's a year and a half old, shows all the normal signs of growth etc. but seems to be very nervous around us and hides behind things alot. are these characteristics right or is there something wrong ?

Answer
Are you handling him excessively, and does he have adequate hide space? What about other factors such as UVB and proper temps.? He is obviously stressed about something. Moving reptiles to new habitats is stressful for them and takes time for adjustment. Make sure your environmental issues are correct to make it as easy on him as possible.
