Question
This is not an emergency, but I have a question about my gliders recent behavior. I have two Male gliders, not fixed, that are a little over a year old. starting about a week or two ago, they have started hissing a lot at each other. To me it sounds like they are arguing, which they used to do every now and then... now they do it quite often, I don't want them to fight, but I'm not sure if this is what they are doing. Why are they making this noise at each other all the time recently?

Answer
Have your gliders always been together?  Are they siblings?  They are at the age now when they feel the need to establish dominance.  Hissing is indeed arguing or at least annoyance.  Hopefully the two will agree as to who will be the one "in charge."  Siblings and/or pouch mates from an early age usually can work it out without major fighting.  I suggest you just keep an eye on them and "wait and see."  If they begin physical fighting and hurting one another, they may need to be neutered and/or separated.  Please keep in touch and let me know how it is going with your two boys.  I hope this helps.  Good luck.
