Question
I have two male sugargliders and one is a little bit smaller than the other one. Starting today the big one is grabbing on to the back of the smaller on and I'm not sure if they are fighting or if the big one is trying to mate with the smaller one. But either way I dont think the little one likes is. It keeps screaming and chattering but the little one doesnt make any attempts of get the big one off his back. It just sets there on the little ones back. What are they doin? Thanks

Answer
Dear Keshia:

Two males should not be kept in the same cage unless they are neutered.  Sometimes they are okay for a while, but eventually, even if it takes a couple of years, one will become dominant and aggressive over the other.  You are correct.  The bigger one is trying to mate with the smaller one.  There could be serious injuries.  I suggest you have the bigger male neutered right away and the smaller one as soon as possible.

Best of luck with them.
