Male Bald Spot

Question
My 4 years old Male's Scent land on the top of his head is starting to get bigger, is this cause for concern?

Also his baby boy (approximate 6-7 weeks) They are doing well together and bonding well.  Is it possible to keep them together permanently?  or will I have to separate them as they become mature.  I would keep the girl in a separate cage.

Answer
Hello Peter,

The larger scent gland is not a problem, it sometimes gets bigger as the male matures.  The father and son would probably be okay together.  Two males who are bonded from an early age usually get along, as long as the dominance is established early.

Gliders do not do well when separated from their bonded companions.  It would be a shame to separate the female from her mate.  The male joey would need to be neutered if you wanted all three to live together.

I hope this helps.  Good luck,

Betty
