Our Male sugarglider Tai

Question
Here is somewhat of an update. We found that Tai chewed his toes off on that foot but it looks like he has left them alone for awhile. Now we have a new problem. Steven had him out on his shoulder last night letting him run all over him like he always does and Tai fell. When Steven picked Tai up he had a clear liquid coming out of his mouth and he wouldn't move or react to anything. Steven tried to put him in his cage but Tai was hanging on to his hand. When he got Tai in the cage Tai held on to the front of the cage and would not move. He was in like a daze. Then after a minute or two it's like he snapped out of it. He started running around the cage. One time he made this hissing sound, but we haven't heard it since. Our question is do you think he is o.k. or should we have a vet see him? I don't know if the fall just shook him up for alittle while or what. What are your thoughts? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you again,

Answer
Amy and Steven,

I am so sorry about Tai's foot.  It sounds awful, but sometimes animals do things like that to prevent the situation from getting worse.

As for the fall, I don't know what to say.  Gliders are used to taking some pretty bad falls and clumsy landings.  They are hardy that way, but I couldn't say for sure, since I am not a vet.  If he is acting fine now, he's probably okay.  If it were me, I'd watch him carefully for any abnormal behavior and take him to a vet if he acts strangely.  Keep in touch.  Good luck, let me know hoe it goes.
