sugar glider foods (what they can eat outside)

hi i was just wondering if i let my sugar glider outside to play (hses really bonded with me ) is it safe for him to explore and eat the buggs? we are located in canada B.C alond the coast and i wasent sure if it was safe for him to roam the outdoors with all of the plants and buggs. do i have to constantly watch him and make sure he dosent put anything in his mouth or is it ok for him to eat the insects?

I wouldnt let him roam outside at all free BUT if you can guarantee that he wont run away and you will have your eyes on him at all times I wouldnt let him eat anything that grows or is outdoors cause you never know what is poisonous or has poison on it.....
