Question
I have a bonded pair of sugar gliders Ziggy (male) and Zoe (female) they have been together for 2 years. They have had so far a total of 3 joey's at seperate times. They recently became parents again the joey is roughly a week oop. Lastnight my boyfriend noticed them fussing, but not bad so he went to bed. This morning my boyfriend found Ziggy sprawled out bleeding and an eyeball missing so he took him out and cleaned him up and he is on his way to the vets as we speak.
Why would Zoe become so aggressive now to make her hurt Ziggy? I am so worried.

Answer
WOW.. my apologies for you unfortunate incident.. Gliders tho we know so much about them, are truly a mysterious critter.. there are many reasons she may have injured him.. but without witnessing the event it would be to hard to figure why.. We can only assume it had something to do with either food, pouch space or the baby I would certainly not keep the two together any longer.. Hope your boys fared alright after his Vet visit.. but I know how sometimes these things dont go well..
