Questioni have 2 male gliders and there mother recently passed on was wondering if could reintroduce them with the father so he won't be a lone glider. they are almost 3 years old and the father is 8.
AnswerChrisi,
This is a tricky situation. Male gliders are territorial. Usually there is only one dominant male in a colony. Since your joeys are brothers, they get along. Gliders have a long scent memory, and the joeys might remember their father, but they might not. I suggest you go through the introduction process and see how it goes. You can find the process on my website: nc.sugar.gliders.googlepages.com. Let me know if you can't open the document.
I have not encountered this situation before. I would like to know if it works. Please let me know. Good luck!
