Seperating my male

Question
I got my Sugar Gliders awhile ago and she had a baby. Shortly after she got pregnant again. I don't want her to get hurt so when is the best time to separate the male from her and for how long? The babies are about 2 months now.

Answer
I am not clear about your question.  Are you planning to neuter your male?  The father is very important for caring for the joeys.  He helps out so the mother can eat, exercise, etc.  The babies come to him for comfort, and to ride around on his back.  Gliders mate year round, so you can never be sure when they will mate.  You could try removing the male for a week or so after the babies come.  I won't guarantee anything, though.  If you definitely don't want more joeys, the only sure was is to have the male neutered.  What do you mean by, "I don't want her to get hurt?"  I hope this helps at least a little bit.
