QUESTION: dear laurie
i just bought one sugar glider..a lot of people have at least 2 or more so i am concerned tht it will not survive without a frend. will it? do i need to get another one?i dont think its possible to get another one,my parents dont want me to get more.
so can u tel lme how i can keep my sugar glider happy and not lonely?
also, is it important to get 2 or more?

ANSWER: Dear Petra,

This is a duplicate question, but you added a little more.  Like I said before, it is best to get your glider a companion.  As in your case, sometimes it is not possible to get a companion for your glider.  You must, in that case, lavish as much attention on your glider as possible.  Provide a good running wheel designed for sugar gliders and many toys and a very large cage in which to play and run when you can't be with her.

It depends on the wheel.  Hamsters do not have tails that can get caught.  You should purchase a wheel that has no cross bars where a tail can get caught.  

You can buy special wheels online.  You can google "Wodent Wheel" or "Stealth Wheel" which are the two I use.  Best of luck.
