I will take him to a veterinarian in France but there are not many specialists, can you advise me. thank you

Answer
Clary,

I've been worried about your baby.  Have an update?

Betty

Hello Clary,

Are Sugar Gliders popular in France?

Can your glider move his feet?  Do both sides of the hind-end seem to be droopy?  It is possible that your glider has hind-end paralysis, not a fracture.

What do you feed your gliders?  How much calcium are they getting?  Hind-end paralysis is common in sugar gliders who do not get enough calcium.  If you take him to a veterinarian, he will give you liquid calcium supplements and wait to see if it goes away.

Gliders are quite hardy, and it would be unusual for one to fracture his or her leg.  In the wild they "splat" all the time when they land.  If the glider does have a fracture, the vet will take an X-ray.  I'm not sure what they can do with a fracture on something so tiny.

Good luck!  Please write back.
