QuestionHello, I have had my ball python for four months. He is a baby and he does not want to eat anything. So I have to force feed him. He seems to be constipated because where he is supposed to poop, it is swollen. He is also shedding. For bedding, I use a flat green pad and is that bad? I used to use wood chips, but what do you suggest?
AnswerBabies are sometimes hard to get started. It's always best to buy an animal that is feeding reliably on frozen-thawed food. In any event, if he has swelling it would be best to get him to a reptile vet ASAP. I don't think it's a problem with the bedding though.
