My snake is having issues

Question
my snakes is always hiding.
My snake is not eating.
SEE i got the snake from my backyard and i just put it in a cage i dont know what the tempature should. It might be too cold. And im scared my snake is going to starve to death and i think poking at a pinkys brain is kinda too gross.Is there any other way?

Well it really depends on what kind of snake it is, but I'm guessing that it probably just needs a warm spot of around 80-85 degrees. However, many snakes that are caught from the wild won't eat in captivity. If you can't get it to eat within 2 weeks you should release it.
