snake and cat problems

im thinking about buying a ball python that has never struck anyone or ever been real aggresave but she seem to have a problem with cats that she wants to strik at the cat and if you smell like a cat it will try to strike at you.IS there anything i can do to have the cat and snake get along.please help soon have to buy by 7-17-09.thank you

  Yes, get rid of the cat. I am not sure why, but snakes do not like cats in the least. Most of mine pay no attention to the dogs but despise cats. I am afraid that there is no way to have a cat and a snake get along, so you will have to choose between one or the other. If you keep both, it could end badly for one of the two.
