Question
QUESTION: I have snake eggs that I was told to put in a bowl with a lid and once a week open it to exchange the air and to lightly spray them. Well, one of them has green mold on it and the others have a fuzzy white mold. Two of them have gotten smaller in size as if they are alive. I don't know what to do at this point. I have the lid off right now to air it out because it has a bit of a stink to them. Are they dead or alive? I should tell you the eggs are pink and have been since she laid them a week and a half ago except one but its crinkled up(dehydrated-looking) HELP!!!

ANSWER: Dawn,
To be viable, any snake eggs must be kept in an incubator at a specific temperature to live. You do not mention an incubator. It sounds like you got some bad information. If you want to try it again, buy an incubator first and Google "______________(the type of snake) egg incubation" to acquire the proper temperature to incubate the eggs.

QUESTION: Ok, so does this mean they are still alive? Why are the eggs pink?she laid them that way(its her first time).

Answer
It is unlikely, without incubation or the proper substrate, that they are still viable. However, it is possible. Usually the slugs (that is what they are called when they go bad or are no longer viable) turn a dark color and sometimes have the mold growth you described.
