Red Blood Python & Humidifier

Question
We have a cool mist humidifier.  Is it OK to place the humidifier near the snakes home (glass tank with screen top, undertank heater, and heat lamp a few inches from the top), or will this cause a respiratory problem, or some other problem?
PS.  We also have a cockatiel in the same room.

Answer
Hi Kristi,

that should be fine. make sure you keep a close eye on your temperatures because of your glass tank. glass tanks often have temperature fluctuations and it can be hard to get the right temperature(82-84F).

although the humidifier shouldnt be a problem it may increase the risk of a resp infection so keep an eye out. if your blood python gets a resp infection remove the humidifier and increase the temperatures by 5 or so degrees until the infection goes away.

i hope this helps,

Andy
