injury to my red tail

my daughter has a red tail boa about 3 months old, tonight he pushed the top off of his tank and somehow got his head caught under the lid, he has a deep indention in the top of his head toward the back. Is their anything we can do, and will he be ok? I think he is acting ok, my daughter thinks he is acting confused and moving different than normal.

im afraid i wouldnt be comfortable giving you a definite answer to whether he will be ok or not. a head injury is a serious problem and without having a good look at him i wouldnt like to say.

your best bet is to take him to a vet who will check him over and decide what actions to take. it is possible that your snake will have to be euthanised so prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
