Ball Pythone

Question
I have just gotten a 11in ball python. when i first tired to pick him up he had let me it was no problem but when i have tried to pick him up again he had tried to strike me. now he is shedding he is really striking what can i do to keep him from striking me. I want to hold him but i don't want him to strike and i drop he help me Please

First of all, don't try and hold him while he's shedding.  The skin underneath is not fully developed and snake don't like to be held then.  If the problem continues after the shed get a pair of garden gloves and let him strike all he wants.  it won't hurt and eventually he'll learn you aren't a threat.
