Question
i have a lavender king snake for about a week now and today was its feeding day this was the first time i fed it. i went to the pet store and bout frozen pinkies for my snake just to be on the safe side i asked the pet store person how much should i feed the snake he said around 5 to 6 so i thought he knew what he was talking about. so i fed my snake 5 pinkies and later went on the Internet and found out i was supposed to feed him one or two now iam afraid that i over fed him and he could get hurt in result. i would love some advise on what to do to help him digest his food without him getting hurt.

Answer
Go back to the pet store and punch that dude in the face!!! LOL 1 or 2 is the correct number.  If he ate too much he will most likely puke them up.  Now, I'm assuming your snake is a baby, if it's bigger then 5-6 is fine.  In the future, prey should be about as big around as the snake at the snake's widest point-so if the snake is 1 inch around buy prey that is about 1 inch around as well.  And 1 prey item per week is usually good enough.  If he does puke leave him alone (no handling) for 3 days and make sure he has good clean water, then give him 1 (and only 1) prey item and see if he keeps that down.
