Question
I have a 55 gallon tank for my juvenile California stripe king. I am going to buy a tank divider and get another snake. I use a heat lamp at one end of the tank now... How would I set the lighting to heat both sides equally and still have a cool area for the snakes. Which snake should I get that shares the same temp and humidity needs as a California king?

Answer
Hi Johnathan,
Your options are limited. Perhaps another king or milk snake from the same area. To properly heat the enclosure, you will need a heat lamp on each side and a cool area on each side. Also keep in mind that the snakes will grow and will eventually need more room.
