hissing boa

my boa is 4 months old and is really hissy and bites me when i get her out but is totally fine when she is out, i have just started feeding her outside of the cage as i thought this might b somethin to do with asociating my hand with food, she is about 2 foot+ long so need to nip this in the bud soon if there r any tricks i can try that will help it would be gratefully recieved.

Hello Jo,

You're on the right track with feeding outside the tank in another tub or tank. I know that when some snakes get real big it would be unreasonable to try this but for the time doing so will teach your snake to allow your presence and handling.
