Need help

I just bought a baby ball python from Petsmart about a week ago. I went to feed the snake a frozen pinkie and I defrosted it in hot water and the snake wants nothing to do with it. I called Petsmart and they told me to force feed the snake and i know the website I have checked said not to. Plus how long should i leave the pinky in the cage before removing it.

Do not force feed the snake. I have had to do it many times, but if you are not experienced, you can kill the snake. It should be used as a last resort only. Try live prey after a couple of days. If that doesn't work, just keep trying. I would call Petsmart and talk to a manager. If they have sold you a snake that will not eat, then they should take the snake back.
