QuestionMy daughter has a 2 foot long corn snake. He is in a 10 gallon tank. She insists this is to small. How do you determine what size tank to size of snake?
AnswerHi Cheryle,
This is an easy one! The size for a corn snake should be equal to or greater than the adult size of the snake based off the perimeter of the adult size of the snake. A corn snake will never get over 5', so at a minimum, the perimeter should be at least 5'. For an adult corn snake, I would go with a 20 gallon long, which I believe is 2X1, giving you a 6' perimeter. You can always go bigger if you want to, but never smaller.
