Question
I was soaking my savannah monitor today to help him shed when I discovered a discolored spot on his tail, I looked closer and it looks sore to me, it was kind of pink surrounded by the normal light colored shedding skin. Any ideas. I am not having any luck finding information on health problems common for savannah monitors. Thank you.

Answer
To be honest it could any number of things such as a burn or an slight injury that had become infected. There's really now way for me to tell. If possible I would like to see a photograph of the sore and this will give me a better idea as to what it might be.
