I NEED TO KNOW WHAT KIND OF LIZARD I HAVE

OK I FOUND THIS LIZARD ITS ABOUT 7-8 INCHES LONG VERRY SKINNY AND LITTLE. I FOUND IT IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA IN PLASTER CITY ITS NEAR OCOTILLO AND EL CENTRO CALIFORNIA. IT WAS ROAMING AROUND IN THE DESRTS AND I GOT IT WITH MY HANDS CAUSED IT CRAWLED UP MY LEGS WHILE I WAS RESTING. I HAVE PICTURES OF IT BUT I DONT NO HOW TO SEND THEM AND I WANTED TO KNOW WHAT KIND OF LIZARD IT IS BECAUSE I KEPT IT.

However, I suggest that you set the lizard free again, it might be a protected species and it's illegal in many states to take animals from the wild, even unprotected species (I'm not sure about California, though). Apart from that, the lizard was born in the wild and it should remain there. If you want to get a pet lizard, get one from a good breeder, that way you will have a healthy animal that's used to captivity and humans and you can get book ect. on the species you want before you buy it.
