my leo sick i think

my leo won't eat the last time he ate was about 2 1/2 weeks ago and he seems fine moves hides climbs the use ual but his tail is getting thin im just worried about him and the other thing is that he has a bump on the side of his mouth almost like he got bit and i was just woundering if that could be why hes not eating if you could answer that the thet would be awesome -robin

Hi Bob,

Sounds like your leo may have an abscess... in reptiles they appear as lumps, not an open sore.  You need to get your leo to a vet that can treat and diagnose this...if it is an abscess, it will need to be removed or the infection will pass through your leos body and the outcome won't be a good one.  To find a vet that can treat reptile in your area, please go to www.anapsid.org/vets
An abscess in this area would prevent him from being able to eat.
