Question
I have a 8 year old female leopard gecko and she's been acting strange lately she digs out the bedding around he water dish and has been splashing the water out of her water dish.  She has never done anything like this before and hasn't came into any contact with a male. Her eating habits haven't changed but i am kind of worried .

Answer
Hello Christina, I apologize for the late reply I had a family emergency to take care of and couldn't get to a computer.
As for your leopard gecko. Leopard Geckos will lay eggs with or without a male. They however without a male will be infertile. If there has been no male in site for a long time then you can freeze then discard the eggs. She is digging for a place to lay eggs which is common in first timers. After her first one or two lays she will likely no longer dig. With the water dish its just because they need a moist spot to lay eggs. They need it moist and not wet she is trying to make the perfect spot for her eggs. Which she will lay without male. I hope I was of some help. Good luck
