Force-Feeding

Question
Hi again. Unfortunately, I think I'm going to have to eventually force-feed my beardie. It's not eating crickets. I've tried dangling them in its face, leaving them in its cage, putting it in another box with them...it's just not eating the crickets. I believe it -might- be eating its salad, but I'm not sure. I need help. It's getting thin and, though it still has energy, it's definitely not as fat as it used to be when I got it. It seems to be shedding a little. I've grown fond of it, and I don't want it to slowly waste away... You mentioned a dropper earlier. I need the specifics of what to feed in a dropper, and how to feed, and how often. Thank you.

Answer
Hello Aubri,

Remind me again, was he under a bad light, is that correct?
Well, if he is not eating then yes, we need to take some action.  You can make a slurry made out of some feeders, greens & veggies, along with the calcium & some pedialyte daily.  I would do 2-4 cc's daily with the plastic dropper.
Try dropping the food on the end of the nose & see if he will lick it off.  If he likes the taste of it, he should lick it off willingly.
Spread the feedings out in at least 2 feedings per day.
Let me know how he is doing!
