Answer
Hello Marie,

Oh no I am so sorry to hear that!
You can use Povo-iodine to help clean the wounds.  Don't use hydrogen peroxide, that will damage his scales.  Also, the antibiotic ointment such as neosporin or polysporin can be used on the wounds to help ward off any infection.
Is he breathing regularly or erratically?
Do you have any pictures of him that you feel like you could post for me, so I could get an idea of his overall condition?

Are his eyes damaged, or not?
It may take him days to get over the shock of this attack.  If he will not take in any food or fluids, you will need to intervene by giving him oral fluids, along with some baby food to help him out right now.
Try to keep his stress as low as possible & keep him warm overnight in his tank, around 78-80 roughly.

I hope he is going to be alright.
