Questioni HAVE A 55 GALLON TANK THAT i WOULD LIKE TO TRY A BEAUTIFUL NEW HABITAT OF FROGS, TURTLES, AND LIZARDS. ALL SMALL IN SIZE AND ONLY COUPLE OF EACH FOR NOW. i JUST DONT KNOW FOR CERTAIN IF THESE 3 CREATURES CAN IN FACT BE TOGETHER. AND IF SO, WHAT SPECIES WOULD YOU SUGGEST OF EACH?? ARE TREE FROGS, RED-EAR SLIDERS, AND ANOLES OK IN SAME TANK?? SHOULD I USE NEWTS OR GECKOES?? PLEASE POINT MEIN THE RIGHT DIRECTION WITH THIS IDEA. I'M ANXIOUS!!!
AnswerHi Garry, I've included a couple links that explain the building of a viquarium or half and half tank. You could create a very nice habitat that housed native North American species such as green anoles and green tree frogs which share the same native range and co-habitate well together. You can also house a N. American turtle but rather then the red ear slider which gets far too large I would suggest a mud or musk turtle. They average about 3 to 4 inches as adults and prefer shallow water. They do very well in about 6 inches of water. I've linked some info on them as well. I think that should get you started, when you have further questions please don't hesitate to ask.
