about crickets

I want to b far away from the crickets. and ..I`m getting a water dragon and I was wonderin if a few crickets in the tank with him is alrite..as long as the crickets are eatin lettace and not him .lyke i`m talkin bout 3 crickets ...I was told they eat every 3 days. Is this truee.?

Hello Ane,

No, it is not a good idea to leave any crickets at all in with your water dragon for extended periods of time.  They can bite him which will cause infections.  It is best to clear out the crickets when he is done eating.  If you want to leave any feeders in with him in the tank, try getting a dish to put some worms in for him.
Having crickets running around & maybe climbing on or around him constantly will stress him.
As for eating frequency, babies will eat several times per day.  As they become juveniles & adults, they can eat every other day or every third day, but they will still need calcium several times per week.
