Question
hi there i have a bearded and left her in the garden in his
run and a slow worm about 12" long approached her and she
bit it in half, will it harm her, i dont think she ate any
but i wanna be sure.thanks

Answer
Hi Luke, I have to admit, I feel rather sorry for the slow worm! Like many lizards, slow worms will drop their tails as a defense when threatened. Is that what you saw happen? Lol, I'd prefer to think so! :)
Regardless, your bearded should be in no danger at all. Slow worms are not known to carry any toxins. Ingesting wild lizards can potentially transmit parasites but it would really have to be the whole lizard, intestines and all in order for that to occur. No worries.
