Our Bearded Lizard is acting very different!

Our Bearded Lizard has been laying on the bottom of his cage for 2 days now and we thought he was dead. Thank goodness he is not. He has not ever done this before, he is always moving around and if sleeping he's up on a branch but not ever lying on the bottom of his cage. Please inform me of your opinion because our next step is to take him to a veterinarian.

 Depending on where you are and what weather you are experiencing lately, many dragons are doing the "sleepy" act, even those older juveniles and subadults.  If he has good fat pads, I would recheck all temps with a good digital thermometer and make sure that any change in house temperature is not affecting the habitat's temps.
  I never say no to a vet check.  Not only is it the most definitive way of establishing health, it also is great for an owner's peace of mind.
