Question
I saw another question on this sight asking if its ok to handle the eastern fence lizard. I have the same situation as that person, the lizard sits on my sholder almost every where I go. and sometimes appears to be sleeping,  especailly if I'm in the sun. If I have it on my hand it jumps back on my shirt. It will also eat bugs while sitting on me. Is it possible for him to still be stressed out?? Its a very specail pet to me and I dont want anything to happen to him. Also is it easy to see parasites on them? or do I need a magnifying glass??

Answer
Sounds like you've got a good buddy there.  If he is keeping his color and goes to you willingly, you've socialized a usually skittery animal and it's to your credit.
About the only external parasite a reptile may have are mites.  And the best way is to have a vet check, he should have a fecal test done for gut parasites anyway.
