Question
We have had her for about a month. She was eating fine and then all of the sudden stopped. Now she acts like she is afraid of meal worms.  I spoke with a breeder and found we were not giving calcium so I supplemented her with calcium and jump start. 1 1/2 days later she ate a worm.  Now it has been three more days and she afraid of worms again.  What has happened to my dragon.  She has lots of energy, plays, runs but just won't eat.  What can I do.  Her temp is be 74 and 82. She is in a 10 gallon aquarium, she has a dish to bathe in. She loves to be held.  We have the full spectrum light bulb for her and she gets 6=8 hours a day.  She does not like it so hot in her place, she will go sit in the water if it gets too hot.

Answer
Lynne,                                                                 You need to bring the temp up abit. Try crickets. Also instead of mealworms try waxworms. They are more nutritious and easier to digest. Give her half a eyedropper full of mineral oil to make sure she isn't compacted by bedding. Keep handling it. You won't be able to sex it til it is about 1 and a half to 2 yrs old.. turn him or her over and look at its femoral pores. They are on his thighs if they are just smooth dots it is female if they are bumpy it is a male they get a  waxy substance in them making the protrude........Good Luck, Tina
