I am getting a lizard soon and i need to know lots about lizards -what do i need to do if a lizard bites me.-Do lizards attract cats.-what type of lizard is best for a ten year old girl.-what type of and how much food does it need.-what size of cage do you need for a growing lizard.-what temperature is required in the cage.-how long do lizards live for.what type of things do i put in the cage with a lizard.   I live in Australia.  thanks for your help

Lizzy, I'm going to give you a list of 3 good lizard pets.  Do some research, read some books, cruise the net, etc., and when you're done with that write back if you still have questions.  The 3 I most recommend are:

Bearded Dragon - the best pet lizard there is if $$ doesn't matter (cage set-up could run $200 plus in the US anyway) you might even catch one in your back yard!

Leopard gecko - great, easy to take care of and stay small.

Blue-tongued skink - calm, fairly easy, great pets.

Do NOT get an iguana.  They are horrible pets, expensive to care of, and cause many injuries when they get bigger.
