Question
Hi! I have a leopard gecko named Lea, and she's really healthy. The only thing is, is that when she sheds, all her dead skin comes off, except off her feet. It builds up until she can't really climb things without falling off. The extra skin's covering her claws! I don't want to pull it off because I don't want to hurt her, but what should I do?

Answer
Soak her in very shallow water (just enough to cover her feet) and try to rub it off with a Q-tip. If that doesn't work, you can try putting a small amount of vegetable oil on her toes. To prevent this from happening again, you can build a moist hide, which is a container filled with peat moss/coconut fibers/paper towels ect. that are moistened. When   leopard geckos shed, they can go into the moist hides to help them get the skin off.
I hope Lea gets better soon! Feel free to contact me with any additional questions.
