Question
my bearded dragon was left very close like an inch away from a UV light for several days. now his eyes are always closed.. but when i pick him up out of the cage he becomes alert, and observes me with only his left eye. but the other does not open. I'm very low on money right now. like nothing to my name. and i get paid a good bit of money in a couple days will he make it? because this is also causing him to not eat. please help with any information you can. thanks.

Answer
You get him to a vet as soon as you get paid and move that light to where he can't get any closer than 8" for fluorescent tube, or 12" for nercury vapor.  If you are using a compact or coil, replace it with a tube immediately.  The compacts and coils will cause eye damage in many species of reptile.
