My Water Dragon Wont open his eyes

Question
Hello. I have had my water dragon for about 4 months now, but he has now stopped opening his eyes. He is also very inactive unless I pick him up, and try to move him around for awhile, then he'll become active for a short period of time. I haven't seen him eat for about 2 days, but I also don't see any crickets in his viv, so he may be eating them when I'm gone. Is this eye thing a problem? I tried coaxing him with waxworms so I could make sure he's eating, but since he doesn't open his eyes, he cant see them. So, how long until this is serious?

Answer
Do you use either the coil or compact UVB bulb?  If you do, then that's your problem.  They can be very damaging to your reptile so change it to either a Reptisun 10.0 fluorescent tube or a Mega-ray mercury vapor bulb, then get your water dragon to the vet as soon as possible.  Hopefully the damage won't be permanent.
