Question
I caught these two guys fighting with my cellphone video and can't figure out what they are.  I don't think they are Anoles because of the way their heads are shaped.  Any ideas what they are?  http://noblather.blogspot.com/2008/06/when-lizards-attack.html

Answer
Dear Ms. Green,
thank you for your question.
I can't say for sure, but I think that they are Knight Anoles. I couldn't find anything on populations in Lousiana, just in Florida, but no native or introduced lizard on lists I found in Lousiana looks quite like those two. Here's a list of Lousiana herps:

They are the biggest anole species, reaching an overall length of easily  15 inches or more and they are very aggressive.

I'm sorry that I cannot give a definite answer, but try asking the people at the Louisiana Gulf Coast Herp Society's message board:

I hope I was of some help to you
