Whites Tree Frog and Crested Gecko Enclosure

Question
Hello,

I originally had two crested geckos, then i introduced two small Whites Tree Frogs, after having the geckos for about 1 year. All was well until one day about 2 months ago, i found one of my geckos on the floor of the terrarium (being unusual for her i realised something was wrong), she didnt seem to have proper use of her limbs. After about half an hour of keeping her warm, she went rigid in my hand but was still alive. I nursed her until 4am but by 7am she had died.

The smaller of the frogs seemed to be very small, i left baby food for him as well as small crickets but he seemed to get very small and vanish for weeks on end. About 3/4 weeks after the gecko had died i found my small Whites Frog on the floor of the  terrarium, dead. He was very skinny, but i was not sure what was wrong. He didnt seem to grow much from the day i bought him.

I am wondering if these two incidents are related. I do not want to lose all of them. I have noticed some tiny (very tiny!)white insects in the terrarium, they seem to eat dead crickets, and seem to be in/on the wood most of the time. I keep the terrarium moist but also have 2 x heat pads in there with them. Crickets are fed 3 times, weekly and baby food given as my cresty loves it. Honey sometimes too but not often.

PLease let me know what you think. If you need any more info please feel free to ask.

Answer
Well first of all I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. Anyway, I would have told you in the beginning that housing differing species together is never a good idea as this could lead to what has already happened which is most likely cross contamination of parasites.  See, animals have a natural parasite load even humans do but we are 'designed' for it while other animals are not capable of dealing with the parasites.  So remove them keep them in separate enclosures and you should be fine.  The white bugs are just a form a gnat and nothing to worry about.
