QuestionI have a bearded dragon that is about 9 months old and it seems like he might be brumating. Is this common for a dragon so young?
AnswerHi Bob, It's not uncommon for beardies that are not yet a year old to start brumating. People tend to report that they start at around a year old but then again most people also don't know their beardeds' exact age! That age became the general rule of thumb but anything around a year is still quite normal. I tend to think that brumation is also a function of size in addtition to age and a well fed 9 month old can be close to full adult size.
