Question
please help. we purchased a gecko in march.  in about august we moved and unfortunately lost him.  he was then found and returned to us almost 6months later! we have no idea how he has survived or wat he has been eating.  the problem is since his return he wont eat we have offered crickets and meal worms his usual favorites. he doesnt appear to be drinking either .  this has been going on fro about 6 days.  he lives in a20 long tank and uses a 75 red light for heat.  could he be sick? also he is producing  bowel movements. and seems lethargic.

Answer
Hello Summer,

He could have gotten hold of something toxic while he was lost.  I would recommend feeding him some chicken or turkey babyfood through a syringe to get food into him.
You should think about getting a fecal done on him too to rule out worms or parasites.
Do you have an undertank heater for him as well to use in conjunction with the basking light?  He needs a hot spot of around 88-90 so he can digest well.
