QUESTION: How do I keep turtle from getting out of my 50 gallon pond? If I lay netting or wire on the top, can the turtles get out?

ANSWER: Hello Kiely,

Well, that will be fine to put netting or you can use harware cloth too to keep your turtles in the pond area.  However, make sure that they have other areas around the pond to get out of the water when they want to or need to.  They do need dry spots, & they do need adequate lighting, too.

What other type of pond animals do you plan on having, frogs or fish?
Remember they do need some space to move around so you don't want him to be too crowded, plus the water will get dirty pretty quickly too.  You have to keep in mind your animals will get sick from dirty water that gets contaminated with feces.
