Tail Necrosis

Hi, my leopard gecko shed and now the very tip of her tail is black from it. I tried soaking it in warm water but nothing is working. I need to know if Thea will be ok. Should I try to get her to "drop" her tail? Please anything will help

Hello Jessica,

No, don't try to get her to drop her tail since that will stress her out more than she needs right now.
If the end of her tail is damaged from retained shed, the body will naturally take care of it by it drying out, etc.  You can get some antibiotic ointment & put it on there daily to help.  Do you have any pictures of her tail?
