Question
my bearded dragons legs were twitching after he was moved to my new place. I've had him for a while at my old house and have never once seen him twitch. he started up after eating a few crickets. he seemed to calm down a little while i was holding him. i gave him a nice warm bath and his twitching pretty much just stopped. could he have just been cold? I'm worried that it might start up again and I'm not to sure what to do. i don't know if he will be ok or if i should look for a vet to take him to. he shares a cage with another bearded dragon and she seems to be fine. I'm so worried about him.

Answer
Hi Nicole-
What type of substrate is he and your other Beardie on and what are temps now?

Also what supplements(calcium an multivitamins are you dusting crix with?
What strength/type UV light and if it is a florescent tube-how old is it
Do they eat any greens/veggies?

When supplementing with calcium with D3 and a multi-vitamin-their entire diet must be taken into account as to how much and how often to use these supplements

Twitching can be a sign(but is not always) of improper calcium absorption and/or neurological problems

Usually they just become very dormant and sluggish and do not eat when they are too cold

As long as your UV light is good and you are giving supplements if the problem does not reappear and your other Beardie is fine-then I would just keep an eye on the both of them

If the problem reappears-I would make a vet appointment

Good Luck with your Beardies
