QuestionQUESTION: We have a cornsnake approx. 6-7yrs. old and has never been mated. She layed 4 eggs on Saturday and layed another one this morning with diaharrea. Is this ok? She hasn't eaten in 3 weeks.
ANSWER: You need to palpate her belly (lower 1/3 of her body) to see if there are any more in there. If so, vet time, right now! If not, watch her closely and she should go into a shed within the next few days. After that she should start eating again. If not, vet time. I don't like the sound of "diaharrea" but that's a tough call. Vet visit wouldn't hurt either way.

QUESTION: when taking the eggs out yesterday we found she had layed 12 eggs. tried to feed her this morning wouldn't eat. just checked on her and can see 2 more eggs she just layed. how many eggs can they lay?
AnswerDepends on size-over 30 for a really big one. Problem is they are supposed to be all laid in a single day. Your snake is in trouble. You need veterinary help. Imagine being in labor for 3 or 4 days!!! She will not eat until after her next shed, and thats only if she doesn't die from exhaustion first.
