Gecko dropped tail

my leopard gecko  dropped its tail a couple days ago, it doesnt seem to b growing back and is real red, is it infected?

Hello Josh,

Well, he will take awhile to grow his tail back.  What type of substrate are you using?  If you have loose substrate like sand, please take that out & put in paper towels for now.  That way it wont get dirty or infected.
You could put some antibiotic ointment on it such as neosporin or polysporin.
Just make sure he gets plenty of food, & it will begin regenerating pretty soon.
